We wanted to do something to help the homeless in our beloved stomping ground, King’s Cross. So we created the Invisible Coffee Company, a riff on overpriced coffee culture designed to lure punters in and part with their money for a worthier cause.
Many Londoners will happily spend over £3 on a coffee, while someone sleeps rough only metres away. When you’ve got no home and no money, no-one asks your name or how you’re doing. It’s easy to see how someone could feel invisible.
We pounded the streets selling invisible lattes, espressos and americanos, together with our partners Single Homeless Project – with all proceeds going directly to the charity.
This coffee might not warm you up, but it certainly warmed a lot of hearts.
